Skyline Metro Chicago is a leading designer of modular trade show exhibits, quality graphics and rental displays for the Chicago area. We started the Chicago Exhibiting blog to help Trade Show exhibitors succeed in the Chicago area.

Meet the people behind the blog:

Mark Mayernik
Owner - Skyline Metro Chicago

After graduating from Hofstra University with a B.A. in Marketing he embarked upon a Sales Career with Outline Displays at a time when portable exhibits were just beginning to enter the marketplace. Mark believed that this was uncharted territory with unlimited upside potential; he saw that it would one day be the dominant force within the trade show industry. Staying with this belief, he has watched portable and modular exhibit systems lead the industry’s growth for the past 20+ years. “The outlook for our company and industry couldn’t be brighter. Our goal is to become the most trusted and respected marketing communications provider in the world.”

Ed Klimkowski
President

Ed has over 25 years of industry experience selling, managing, and owning a trade show company. He joins Skyline Metro Chicago from New York, having worked in all aspects of the industry. His career stemmed from the innovation of portable displays using large scale graphics to convey marketing solutions for clients. Presently he is working with Skyline’s state of the art products and taking his career in a new direction. In addition, he is using online asset management to provide turnkey solutions for trade shows, event marketing, and visual merchandising.

Skyler Cook
Marketing Director

Since joining the company in 2005, Skyler has been responsible for the development and execution of Skyline Metro Chicago’s marketing initiatives. An Indiana native (see also: Hoosier), he graduated from the University of Evansville in 2004. He was whisked away to Chicago after taking a position in Internet Marketing for a firm in the futures and options industry. A year later he joined Skyline Metro Chicago where he has his hands in all aspects of marketing, from direct mail to online marketing. Outside the office he can be found obsessing over IU basketball, at a White Sox game, or embarrassing himself on the golf course.

Justine Chiappetta
Marketing Assistant

Justine graduated from DePaul University with a BA in English. From there she had careers as a Communications Specialist for a non-profit and as a high school English teacher, before joining Skyline Metro Chicago as a Marketing Assistant in 2007. In addition to assisting Skyler on Skyline Metro Chicago’s marketing objectives, she teaches a few days a week at an after school learning center. Justine lives in the burbs with her husband and a pet rabbit that has a habit of destroying her possessions.

Alex Karan
Exhibit Designer

Alex has worked in the graphic design industry for over 16 years. He has led a vast array design teams for several advertising agencies across the Chicagoland area and in-house designers for big box retailers. Alex has been with the Skyline Metro Chicago graphics team for three years specializing in Trade Show exhibit design. He also joins our Exhibit Consultants on initial discovery meetings with clients to better communicate the production and design process. His thorough knowledge of Skyline’s production capabilities with structural and graphic design assures our clients of a truly exciting and unique exhibit experience.

Brian Lanning
Exhibit Consultant

In 1993, while in college, Brian was introduced to the trade show industry through his summer work for a custom house learning the ins and outs of the trade show industry and show floor. Upon completion of his B.A. in Mass Communications and Psychology in 1997, Brian transitioned from show floor to consultant, where he found his calling. In the 9 years since the transition, Brian has become a top producer in the industry, designing and consulting for some of the most recognizable companies in Chicago.
